There, where we are not arises from a scenic research based on the absence of human bodies. The scenic device of the piece is a reduced scale theater that works as if it were a puppet. Inside the scenic space there is a model of a white desert, as if it were the remains of an extinct civilization. This small scenography is activated by the entire technical device of the theater, which seems to be "alive": the backdrops, the lights, the curtains and even the walls of the theater transform this landscape. The device is completed by headphones through which an intimate experience is created. This experience aims to create a strong link between the subject of observation and the observed object. The sensitive perception of the spectator is the gear that completes the composition from the exercise of imagination, completing the landscapes with the presence of his gaze: the ruins of a civilization, an abandoned ship in the desert, a dance of curtains, silent mountain ranges or a cave that changes color.

The journey proposed in There, where we are not is a plastic and sound experience that lies in the depth of a complex image, with deep and radical visual contrasts. The objective is to offer the spectator the possibility of observing the beauty of a post-apocalyptic world without any judgment, like a landscape that we contemplate for a long time from a viewpoint. The character of the piece is thought beyond the human: the expressiveness of the forces of nature, the absolute time, the impossible colors, the music of nothingness?
